A lot of kids leave for college without any knowledge of how to cook. These kids will end up eating too much pizza and ramen; and these are not the healthiest of food choices.
We all know that the average college student is not a master chef. However, you don’t have to be a superb chef to cook healthy food. Look, being a college student does not mean that you have to eat repetitive and poor quality food all the time. Cooking isn’t that hard. In fact, you can actually cook a lot of stuff on the microwave.
With a microwave and a toaster, Emily Hu, a college student at Johns Hopkins University, managed to make appetizing and healthy food with limited resources. Check out her blog for some of her recipes http://notyouraveragecollegefood.com/
Emily has this to say about her blog, “The goal of this blog is to share with other college students simple, healthy recipes that they can make under the burdens and stresses of school and time management. Most of the recipes require very few ingredients and little preparation!”
If Emily can find ways to prepare healthy meals, then you can too!
